Scheduling Your EMG / Nerve Test

A nerve study helps your doctor measure how well the nerves in your arm are working.

What is an EMG / NCS?

An Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Study (NCS) are tests that measure how your nerves and muscles are working.

  • Nerve conduction study (NCS): checks how fast and how well signals travel along your nerves.
  • Electromyography (EMG): measures the electrical activity in your muscles.

These tests help your doctor determine if you have a pinched or compressed nerve (such as carpal tunnel syndrome or cubital tunnel syndrome) or another nerve/muscle problem.

How to schedule

  • Contact one of the EMG testing centers listed below to schedule your test.
